Frequently asked questions
Quick answers to the questions parents ask most.
Why is Cuemath moving to a subscription model?
Strong outcomes come from consistency — regular classes, the same tutor, and a clear weekly rhythm. The subscription model is designed to support that: fixed schedules, stronger tutor ownership, and visible progress every month. In simple terms, students need at least 8 meaningful learning interactions every 4 weeks to stay on track.
When does my subscription start?
Your subscription starts from your child's first scheduled class — that's the real beginning of the learning journey. The tenure is then tracked in weeks based on your plan's class entitlement. For a standard 2-classes-per-week plan: monthly = 4 weeks, 3-month = 13 weeks, 6-month = 26 weeks, 12-month = 52 weeks.
What's the difference between a parent pause and a tutor pause?
A parent pause is managed within your subscription and does not extend your tenure. A tutor pause (when your tutor is unavailable) automatically extends your tenure so your child doesn't lose learning time. Tenure can also be extended for tutor transfers or certain platform-side adjustments.
What happens if my child doesn't join the class on time?
If your child doesn't join within 10 minutes of the scheduled start, the class is marked as a no-show and lapses. A pause cannot be applied retroactively, and the class is not eligible for reschedule or compensation. We strongly recommend using the in-app pause feature in advance whenever you anticipate missing a class.
Can I reschedule a class?
Yes — you can reschedule any scheduled class any number of times through the Cuemath app, subject to tutor availability. The only condition is that the rescheduled class must fall within your current subscription tenure — classes cannot be moved beyond the tenure end date.
What if I can't commit to a fixed weekly schedule?
A fixed schedule is central to consistent learning — and ~80% of students are already on a recurring 2-classes-per-week rhythm. If you have constraints, talk to your tutor: they can help find recurring slots that work for your family. The goal isn't to push you; it's to lock in a rhythm that helps your child make steady progress.
